When traveling, it's best to be prepared for the unexpected. The School recommends that you purchase travel insurance as part of your preparation for your upcoming trip. To help you choose an appropriate plan, Indiana University has partnered with InsureMyTrip, a leader in the travel insurance industry, to offer the following options:
Trip Cancellation Only
Trip Cancellation protects your financial investment in case your trip has to be cancelled or interrupted. Plan Highlights: covers flight delays and cancellations, interruption or cancellation due to unexpected illness or injury, and more. Tuition costs can be included as part of the trip cost to fully protect your educational investment.
All-Inclusive Package
The Package Plan includes protection against the loss of your financial investment in the event of trip cancellation or interruption, as well as coverage for baggage loss and delay, traveler's assistance, and benefits for medical, dental, and emergency evacuation. Plan Highlights: comprehensive coverage for a variety of unexpected events during travel.
Travel Medical
Travel Medical insurance is intended to supplement the coverage already offered by your health provider, which may have limitations during travel, especially abroad. It also offers additional benefits, such as emergency evacuation to the best care facility to treat your injury or illness. Plan Highlights: Covers emergency medical care and evacuation should you become ill or injured while traveling.
